Hurricane Rita is really chapping my hide…..

First, let me apologize for not updating my site more frequently. The past few months have been crazy – I started a new job, we moved to a new house, Jay joined/unjoined a second band, and Hurricane Katrina deeply affected a large portion of Jay’s family.

So it’s been a crazy month, and it just keeps getting crazier. Hurricane Rita is steadily barreling through the Gulf of Mexico, and as it stands right now, (Sep. 22, 2005 at 8:50 a.m. CST), predicted to make a direct hit on Galveston. Jay and I are poring over maps and trying to plan to where we’ll evacuate. It look as if we’ll have to west to stay out of the predicted path of the storm. I’m looking for hotel reservations online but hotel rooms are sold out as far west as El Paso!
